HOOVER, Ala. - On the third and final day of SEC Media Days, Les Miles was first on the podium.

The biggest storyline surrounding LSU this offseason is leading rusher Jeremy Hill being indefinitely suspended after pleading guilty to punching another man in the side of the head outside a Baton Rouge bar near campus.

Miles described Hill's situation as a "legal entanglement" and said he remains indefinitely suspended.

"I have a track record with disciplining my team," Miles said. "We'll gather information as we go. He's been separated from his team and teammates for the summer."

Miles was asked if he's had any contact with Hill since the suspension.

"Yes, we visit with Jeremy Hill on a routine basis," he said. "He's not been in any team meetings, any workouts, he's not allowed in our facility. That's been very hard on him, I know. We recognize there's an ongoing process that's going to be fulfilled. So we sit on the perimeter and watch."

As a freshman in 2012, Hill led the Tigers with 755 yards and 12 touchdowns. His college career was delayed one year after he was arrested in 2011 for allegedly assaulting a 14-year-old girl. He pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge, then was able to enroll at LSU and play football last season.
