Sandra Bullock is spinning out of control - at least in her upcoming sci-fi drama, "Gravity."

Warner Bros. dropped the new trailer for director Alfonso Cuaron's gripping tale of two astronauts stranded in space.

Eschewing the usual trailer method of stuffing two minutes with a clips from a succession of as many scenes as possible, the new "Gravity" trailer focuses instead on just a single jarring scene of Sandra Bullock's hyper-ventilating astronaut hurtling through orbit.

Nowhere to be seen in the clip is co-star George Clooney.

"Explorer, do you copy? Houston, do you copy," broadcasts Bullock's increasingly desperate Mision Specialist Ryan Stone as she spirals out of control. "I am off structure and I am drifting. Do you copy? Anyone? Please copy!"

If Bullock looks terrified in the scene from the movie which crash-lands in theaters on Oct. 4, it isn't all acting.

The Academy Award winner (for 2009's "The Blind Side") spent much of the shoot strung up in a harness and locked inside a a 9-by-9 cube to film the weightless scenes, she told the crowd at San Diego Comic-Con.

"They had me strung up for 8-10 hours day," said Bullock at the "Gravity" panel, according to Yahoo! News. "I learned to meditate up there. Alfonso gave me boxes of CDs with sounds that would set the tone for a scene and help me stay in the right head space."
