The first teenager to win since 1931.

Jordan Spieth held off defending John Deere Classic champion Zach Johnson and David Hearn over five playoff holes to win the first PGA Tour event of his career, at the age of 19. With the win, Spieth - who wasn't even a full PGA Tour member before today - became the first teenager to win on the PGA Tour since 1931. Spieth ended the day in regulation by holing a bunker shot on the 18th to drop to 19-under par, and needed a miraculous save on the fifth playoff hole to earn the title.

Despite blocking his drive on the fifth playoff hole well right, Spieth executed a perfect recovery, punching a 7-iron just below the treeline to find the back edge of the green.

In addition to earning a PGA Tour card, Spieth rockets to 11th on the Fed Ex Cup points standings, and secures himself a place at the Open Championship this week in Muirfield.
