LOUDON, N.H. - Kevin Harvick will have primary sponsor Budweiser in two when he moves to Stewart-Haas Racing next season.
The beer brand, which has sponsored Harvick since 2011, will emblazon the No. 4 Chevrolet in 20 Sprint Cup points races and the preseason exhibition Budweiser Duel. Harvick will join SHR after 13 seasons at Richard Childress Racing, where he has earned 21 victories and 198 top-10 finishes since entering NASCAR's premier series with the team in 2001.
"Over the last three years, Kevin has been an amazing ambassador for Budweiser, both on and off the track," Blaise D'Sylva, vice president of media, sports and entertainment marketing for Anheuser-Busch, said in a release. "We value that level of commitment, and we're proud to join him at Stewart-Haas Racing next season."
Budweiser has sponsored cars on the Sprint Cup circuit since 1983, starting with Terry Labonte. It also has backed Darrell Waltrip, Geoff Bodine, Bill Elliott, Kenny Schrader, Ricky Craven, Wally Dallenbach, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Kasey Kahne.
"I've developed a great relationship with so many people at Budweiser and am very happy it's an association that will continue for many years to come," Harvick said in a release. "We've enjoyed a lot of success together and our expectations match right up with those of Stewart-Haas Racing."
Harvick is ranked fourth in the points standings, having reeled off eight consecutive top 10s in RCR's No. 29 SS.
